Oct 24 2008We’ve had some brilliant gigs north of the border!!
Hutch always eggs us on to greatness in the land of his birth and he was like a spring lamb bouncing into our dressing room tonight to give us our usual pre gig pep talk...
The Ironworks is a great venue some of the most helpful staff we’ve had on this tour!
If you came tonight...thanks! You were an excellent crowd!!
We’re really settling on the set now and playing great!! Even if I say so myself...
So tonight we head back south for the last uk gig of the Kingdom Of Comfort tour...I have loved it, every minute...each gig has brought something special from a familiar face in the crowd to throwing a different fuzz pedal on just because I can!!
It means a lot to us that you’re enjoying the music...
See you in Loughborough
Oct 22 2008The sound was excellent and the men in white coats did a great job setting up a trolley mic stand and swiftly removing a fairly elaborate throne set (nice one Tim Green!) My Soul Sings was a very moving way to end the gig - one of many moments throughout when there was a strong connection between the band and the audience, which is what live music is all about. People were commenting at the end that this was the best Delirious gig they'd seen, which considering many were at the previous gig in the impressive Anglican Cathedral is saying a lot!
Nice one guys, boss gig (scouse terminology); you are welcome to come back and visit us any time!"

Oct 15 2008My first night on the tour bus an I woke up in bristol with a head full of guilt, not because the events of the night before but because it was 11am and sleeping in past 8am makes me feel like a lazy teenager.
Evans emerged a little later and we wondered the streets of bristol in search of grey shirts and banksy pieces. We found a shirt for evans and saw some magnificent art. As always with good art, it makes you think, I love the way banksy has made us rethink art, is it art or vandalism? Pioneering is often cloaked with controversy. Sometimes art is so strong it awakens you to a new thoughts or allows you to see something in a way not seen before, I love that about art.
Then it was our chance to spray some audio murals through the air of bristol, the academy is small yet high making it a great venue to play as it feels like you can see everyone. The set is beginning to take form with a few further tweaks and additions, we are enjoying every note and mile traveled.
Go forth and paint the town but try not to get arrested for it.

Oct 13 2008Alright!?
A big thank you to everyone who came last night, it was nice to be in Tunbridge Wells again! the last time I gigged here was about 8 years ago at the Forum with Cathy Burton. So last night was the first night of the tour with full production, it all seemed to go well! a couple of mistakes here and there which hopefully only the most serious of muso's would hear!
we were not far off from being sold out and it wasn't till the 3rd song when the lights lit up the crowd that I could tell how full it was. sometimes I forget there's a crowd there! the last few gigs have been fun mainly because we recorded the DVD two weeks ago and most of the songs are firmly in our heads, meaning I can go out there and just focus on playing and not wether I have to stop in 2 bars time!
anyway I should finish up, I need to start warming up and doing my stretches, ( I'm not joking! ) see you later!
Evans

Oct 10 2008Friday afternoon saw Evans, Jon and I walking along the prom ice cream in hand remembering Quadrophenia and mods and rockers while I was singing Brighton Rock...by Queen of course!
The Concorde 2 along the seafront is a great venue...it has seen loads of great bands over the years.
Placebo, Mutemath, Captain, Kaiser Chiefs, Nine Black Alps, Athlete...and they’re just the ones I’ve seen.
So to walk on stage and see the place packed to the edges for the first show of the KOC tour was very special...thank you!
We hoped you enjoyed it...in fact we hope you all enjoy the shows coming up...
If you’re not already, sign up for the Living Room where you can see our blogs and comment back on shows or anything else that takes your fancy!
Putting a setlist together for a tour like this is quite a task and over the next few nights it will shift and change a bit until we’re settled...
One things for sure though Love Will Find A Way will be in for the long haul. Actually we have some news about that song...
On Nov 17th it’s getting released as a single! We might be slowing up next year but our intention is to go out fighting!!
One way you can get an exclusive live version is to text the word LOVEWILL with your email address to 81088 and you will receive instructions on what to do. You can also check the formats and pre order an actual CD or DVD at www.townsend-records.co.uk (cos they are chart registered)
If you want to check out my interview on Good Morning Sunday with Aled jones go to bbc.co.uk/radio2 [i am on at about 1h29m] and you can listen in there...
Ok plugs over! And back to the music...I love being on tour and playing gigs...it’s the 2nd best feeling in the world!!!
See you soon
