Sep 20 2007An amazing offer to travel with the D-boys to the Women’s 25th Annual Convention of Joyce Meyer Ministries was not to be missed and so my daughter Susanna and I packed up a little bag and headed off to St. Louis, vainly trying to blend in as the only two females in the all male traveling convoy that is Delirious On The Road. However, the boot was definitely on the other foot when we arrived at the Edward Jones Dome in Downtown St. Louis, as around 26,000 other women has also decided this was something they simply could not miss!
The atmosphere of the first night was electric as Martin opened the event with strains of ‘Our God Reigns’ coming from somewhere high up in the crowded arena. Suddenly the entire place erupted in a vibrant wall of sound which took our breath away… The mix of message and music was pure Holy Spirit. This was a truly amazing meeting of Joyce’s life-changing speaking taken up and powerfully transformed into heart stopping worship with 26,000 voices crying, singing, shouting and celebrating God in heaven with songs that gave words to what the Spirit was saying. I felt the Holy Spirit roar. I felt satan fall again and again. I felt empowered and washed and electrified. To say it was life-changing sounds feeble. I’d rather say God is doing something new, a new ‘thing’ and once again, Delirious have both the music and the words to help us define it.
