Hi, my names Dave and I am the new backline tech for Delirious. I am 20 and live in London. I officially started on Monday, and came straight out to Germany on Tuesday. So far it has been great! This is my first time to Germany and also first time on a tour bus so I was quite excited for the first night on the bus, and then it broke down! It has been quite a steep learning curve because I have had to learn how everyone's gear works before we went out. But I think I got a pretty good handle on it, I've only made a couple of minor mistakes!
We
were in Hannover last night, at the Capitol Hall. The gig went really
well, there was a good crowd and everyone seemed up for it. There were
a few gremlins in the wires somewhere that kept us techies on our toes.
Martins mike wasn't working very well and got changed about 3 times
by every stage technician around! But that all adds to the fun.
We're in Denmark tonight, and then it's off home. Back to a bed that
you can sit up in! Aaaah Bliss!

Feb 10 2005Welcome to my world, a world of ham and cheese for breakfast and ham and cheese for lunch, I'm getting to love the stuff although I still cut the fatty bits off.
Hamburg didn't dissapoint me, while the weather outside was cold and wet, the temperature inside was hot. I struggled to get to the drum kit as the stage was in absolute pitch black, once I found my kit I just plugged my in ear monitors into the pack with just enough time to hear the click for the track begin, I made the beginning of 'Grace like a river' but didn't have time to clip my pack onto my belt which was a little freaky as my pack was swinging around my knees. One song later and my in ears went down and I was forced to send our new techy 'dave' on an errand to the dressing room to retrieve my spare pair of monitors. Dave has fitted into the team really well, he's a top boy and if you are coming to a show soon be sure to give him a huge shout out!
The gig was amazing, I had a fantastic time. Incidentally my new Premier snare drum is a real corker, a hand hammered bronze number with a bigger crack than the San Andreas Fault.
Gotta go, I need to call the girls before bed time.
Latter..

Feb 09 20052 phone batteries later and finally a plan.
You have guessed, a flau, a problem with the viscuss fan on the bus means the engine over heats and the Delirious tour party is stranded just 30 mins from home.
